Embedded Control Systems are computers (microprocessors) that are enclosed (embedded) in customized hardware. Examples of embedded control systems would be portable medical equipment, cellular phones, police, fire, emergency communications equipment, laboratory test equipment, robotic equipment and manufacturing monitoring of assembly lines.

We have embedded systems on many platforms, such as Embedded Linux, Windows CE, and custom controller OS for Microchip, Intel 8052 and the 68HC11/12/16/332 Motorola family.

Capabilities

System Specification and Design

We can create the system specifications and implement the design that will exceed the system requirements. This would include selection of hardware, I/O ports, external interfaces, chassis, and the optimum user interface.

Variety of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers

Our design staff is familiar with a variety of 8, 16 and 32 bit embedded microprocessors that will provide optimum performance and meet cost requirements. For applications requiring high speed data processing or complex numerical analysis in real-time, we can provide a digital signal processing (DSP) solution that will exceed your requirements.

Standard microprocessor designs would include the Intel 8051/8052 family, Motorola 68HC11/12/16/332 family, Intel 80x86/Pentium family, TI 320 dsp family, Microchip 16F873-877, 17C756/66, and 18C/F452 family, and the Cygnal 8052 superset family of devices.

Software Design

We can design, program, test, and validate the system software using industry standard compilers, assemblers, and debug/test tools. Our design engineers are fluent in C, C#, C++, Assembly, Visual Basic, and Visual .NET languages.

Custom User Interfaces

We can design and implement custom graphical interfaces to enhance the look and functionality of your product. Graphic user screens can be written in a windows format and can include scrolling windows, selection lists, radio buttons, and data input and validation fields. For control of remote interfaces, we can provide graphical meters, switches, x-y charting, and statistical functions.
