Brooks
(Division of Aqua-Chem)
11/05/2003 - 11/10/2003CDA coordinated and
performed a Failure Mode Analysis for a Deareator
hardware and software product. CDA has
engineered similar products for this client in the
past. A DFMEA (design FMEA) was performed
showing the various hardware and software failure
modes, likelihood of fault occurances, likelihood of
detection, and fault severity. The FMEA
summary details the failure modes in the system that
are most severe, occur the most often, and are the
most difficult to detect.
The Benefits:
A more stable and robust design. Potential
system failures are looked at early in the design
process where they are quantified and examined. |
